Lesser Known Causes of Asthma
Asthma is a condition in which a person‘s airways become inflamed, swell, and narrow. They then produce extra mucous which makes it difficult to breathe.
Asthma can be minor, or it can interfere with your daily activities. In some cases, it can lead to a life-threatening attack.
Asthma can cause difficulty breathing, chest pain, coughing and wheezing. The symptoms can appear to just come out of nowhere. Sometimes this can be caused by someone walking past that has a heavy perfume on, or a chemical like, for example, roundup sprayed onto the grass. This is acknowledged to be Allergic Asthma.
Emotional Asthma is another recognised form of Asthma. This can be caused by shock, a trauma of some kind, a car accident, a divorce, a marriage breakup which then can go on to affect the children of the marriage. Many children with problems at home and bullied at school have been diagnosed with the symptoms of emotional Asthma.
In natural therapies we recognise the possibility of this, and will add an emotional remedy, maybe from the Bach Flowers range, to the normal herbs and homeopathics that are prescribed for the Asthma itself. Rescue Remedy is an old favourite that many mothers carry in their handbags to give to a distressed child.
Asthma, because it affects the Lungs, can go on to affect other parts of our bodies. It can affect our lower back with all that coughing and wheezing. It can tighten and affect our shoulders and ribs. The vertebrae in our spine can weaken, often T12 and L1 will cause a problem and will need an alignment after the attack.
Remember Oxygen is the one compound that we cannot do without, we can live without food and water for a time, but without Oxygen we will die very quickly. Care for your body as this is your vehicle for life. Cars do not run without petrol or electricity and your vehicle does not go without Oxygen.
