Bao He Wan literally means: Formula to Preserve Harmony. It was designed to reduce food stagnation and promote digestion as well as regulate the Qi in the middle Jiao (and hence preserve harmony between the Stomach and Spleen).
Indications:
Indigestion (due to over consumption), gastritis, chronic cholecystitis.
Signs and Symptoms:
Epigastric or abdominal fullness; Belching; Nausea; Acid reflux; Loss of appetite; Symptoms worsened by eating; Epigastric or abdominal pain; Vomiting; Halitosis; Constipation or diarrhoea; Tongue with a thick greasy coat; Slippery pulse.
Dosage and Course of Treatments:
8 - 12 pills, 3 times daily, half to one hour away from food.
Course of treatment: For acute conditions 1 - 2 weeks at high dosage.

- Wolfiporia cocos, fruit. body 45.7 mg

Cautions and Contraindications:
Do not take at the same time as iron supplements as the tannins in Crataegus fruit interfere with the absorption of iron.
