The major part of the formula consists of plant source medicinal substances that nourish the Kidney Essence and warm-tonify the Kidney Yang. All of these ingredients have been shown – either individually or in various combinations – to promote sexual function. In addition, there are herbs that tonify the Qi and nourish the Blood.

The former herbs promote the functional activities of the Spleen, which supports the replenishment of the Kidney Essence. The later group of herbs promote the function of the Liver (which ensures the smooth and even movement of the Qi and Blood throughout the body) as well as providing an additional substrate for the Kidney Essence.

- Wolfiporia cocos, fruit. body 23.1 mg

- Angelica polymorpha, root 23.1 mg

- Paeonia lactiflora, root 23.1 mg

- Cornus officinalis, fruit 23.1 mg

- Morinda officinalis, root 23.1 mg

- Lycium barbarum, fruit 23.1 mg

- Eleutherococcus nodiflorus, root 23.1 mg

- Cynomorium coccineum subsp. songaricum, stem 23.1 mg

- Polygala sibirica, root 15.4 mg

- Ligusticum striatum, root 15.4 mg

- Schisandra chinensis, fruit 15.4 mg

- Panax ginseng, root 7.8 mg

- Cinnamomum cassia, stem bark 7.8 mg

Dosage & Course of Treatment

- 8 - 12 pillules, 3 times daily, half to one hour away from food.

- Course of treatment: 2 to 6 months, or ongoing at lower dosage.

Cautions & Contraindications

- Caution for those on anti-coagulant medications (i.e. heparin, warfarin or aspirin), cardiac glycosides (e.g. digoxin), oral hypoglycaemic agents, insulin and phenelzine.

- Contains Panax ginseng; do not take caffeine containing beverages (e.g. tea, coffee, cola, gaurana) or radishes concurrently with this formula.
